Midget Head COACH

Angelica Sanchez  (Coach Gee)

I’m super excited to be joining this wonderful program as Head Coach for the Midgets Cheerleading team! My coaching experience runs a decent line. I’ve coached the middle school cheer team at Western Sierra, the high school JV and varsity teams at Center High along with both the Peewee and Jr Midget teams at the Lincoln Jr. Zebras. What originally sprouted my passion for coaching cheerleading is something I must give my daughter credit for. Watching her through her nine years in Allstar cheerleading, I’ve come to learn that a great coach makes a sport better by tenfold. From age six to fifteen, I’ve seen my daughter grow so much just from being in this sport, not just learning impressive flips but learning life lessons along the way. That is something I will always implement into my coaching style, I want all the kids that I have the opportunity to coach to leave the season having gained fun memories, confidence and knowledge about the world they are soon to grow up in. Fast forward to my previous seasons, I can account for two Nationals first place titles, one state title, and a completely undefeated season all throughout last year. My competitive spirit and love for all my athletes is what I think leads my teams to be successful. Again, I’m so delighted to be given the chance to be apart of this program and meet all the lovely athletes to come!

Jr. Midget Head COACH

Coach Christine Watanabe

As a dedicated cheer coach, I bring a wealth of experience and passion to the team. Having lived in the Lincoln for seven years, I understand the community’s values and dynamics, which I leverage to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants.   With a background in hairstyling, I bring creativity and attention to detail to every aspect of coaching, from perfecting routines to ensuring each cheerleader feels confident and empowered. As an assistant coach last year, I honed my coaching skills and developed strong relationships with the team, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect.   Above all, I prioritize the holistic development of the children under my guidance. I deeply care about their needs, wants, success, and growth, both on and off the mat. My goal is to foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported, enabling them to thrive and reach their full potential.   I firmly believe that cheerleading should be a fun and memorable experience for all involved. Through teamwork, discipline, and encouragement, I strive to make this season unforgettable, empowering the kids to embrace their individuality, build lasting friendships, and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Ardeana Rogers

My name is Ardeana Rogers and I am excited to join the Rhino family as Head Coach for the Jr Pee Wee cheer team. This is my second year on coaching staff for youth cheer in Lincoln. While my focus is always on safety, my philosophy centers on fostering a positive environment that empowers the girls to be confident in themselves on and off the mat. Beyond the sidelines, I work in personnel for the state and live in Lincoln with my husband of 11 years and our two amazing kids.
